Jean has always been interested in saving animals. She used to pull earthworms from puddles after it rained, always picked the runt of the litter when given the choice, and often still makes emergency stops on the sides of roads to pick up animals who seem to be in need. She has a great interest in cases where animals are special needs physically and/or behaviorally and lives with a crew of just such pets, many of whom are now feeling and acting better. She works in Detroit at Children's Hospital of MI, although has also done stints in the veterinary world as well. Of her newly formed relationship with Shelter to Home she says, "I am so glad to be involved in this very active network of people with such a broad range of talents all working together to save animals. They are so much more effective together than any of us would be apart, and I'm excited to help out!' |
